About MedPro Health

Operator-led, and still operating.

MedPro Health is a healthcare consulting and operating partner. It is led by someone who runs a healthcare organization, which is the whole point.

01

An operator-first firm

MedPro Health exists because of a gap that shows up in nearly every independent healthcare organization. Large health systems run on infrastructure — defined workflows, owned KPIs, staffing models tied to volume, an operating cadence that catches problems in week one instead of quarter three. Independent practices are frequently just as strong clinically and have almost none of it, because there was never an operations department to build it.

The usual answer to that gap is a consulting engagement that produces a document. MedPro was built to do the opposite: work inside the operation, design the systems, build the technology they run on, and stay through the implementation. The measure of the engagement is whether the organization runs differently afterward, not whether the deck was thorough.

02

Learned from every seat

MedPro was founded by Cesar Carrera, who came into healthcare sideways — a front desk specialist role at Concentra that was supposed to last a year. It lasted considerably longer. Front desk, then front desk lead. A physician and several medical assistants took the time to teach the clinical side, and back office lead followed. Occupational health learned from the inside: employers, injured workers, the paperwork, and the phones that never stop.

That is where the firm's perspective comes from. Knowing what it feels like when the lobby is backed up, and also knowing what the P&L looks like at the end of that month, and exactly which of those two things caused the other.

03

Into operations, then ownership

Assistant center operations director, then center operations director — running a center with the team, the numbers, and the results on him. An acquisition experienced from the inside. Then leading the Concentra Advanced Specialists program. After Concentra, startup work taught the other half: financial controls, real ownership, and what happens when the money is finite and the decisions are yours.

Today he is an owner and chief operating officer at Power Health Colorado, a multidisciplinary practice serving injured patients. That matters to clients for one reason: the person advising your organization is currently accountable for one of his own. The advice has to survive contact with a real schedule, a real payroll, and a real Monday.

04

Then building the tools

The pattern that kept repeating was that good operators were fighting their software. So MedPro started building it — portals, intake systems, dashboards, and websites designed around the workflow rather than around a feature list. Flyte CRM and CaseFlyte came out of the same instinct, as separate companies.

That is why technology is not a separate practice area here. The people specifying a system are the people who have run the operation it is meant to serve.

05

How we work

Directly. Engagements start in the building, on the phones, and in the schedule. Findings are delivered plainly, including the ones that are uncomfortable. Every recommendation comes with an owner, a standard, and a date, because a finding nobody owns changes nothing.

MedPro works in English and Spanish. When patients and staff understand what is actually happening, they show up and follow the plan. Compliance is rarely a personality problem. It is usually a communication problem.

What MedPro is building toward

A firm that makes healthcare organizations run better, and that opens doors for the people who keep them running.

Operating companies that prove the systems work. Software that carries those systems further than any one operator could go in person. And a standard borrowed from a father who has roofed for the same company for thirty years: show up, do it right, and never make the people counting on you wonder.
